The Coolest One

It was a small thing but did y’all see President-elect Barack Obama descending from the plane in D.C. yesterday? Folks, we have entered a new era in more ways than one… this dude came off the plane like the coolest dude on earth. He was on some James Bond-vibe. Dude… uh, President Dude… umm, Mr. President-elect Dude came off the plane in shades. I’ve never seen a president in shades… in any country. Swag was overflowing when he approached the motorcade… he was moving like he needed a theme song ["no one in the hemisphere got swagga like us..."]. Preface: I could give less than a damn about O. J. Simpson. His recent trial was a non-event for me… couldn’t have cared less. Didn’t watch live… caught the occasional headline with an indifferent ear. But, what has put this bullsh*t on my radar is the reaction from the so-called journalists on my TV. I thought the first rule of journalism is impartiality. After the guilty verdict, these mofos were all but high-fivin’ each other on air. No attempt to mask their glee, no attempt to appear… professional.
